COMMISSION: WALK WITH WORDS
Designed by Dallas–Pierce–Quintero, Walk With Words is an interactive walking route connecting Colchester City Centre, the University of Essex and Greenstead. The journey is organised around 16 posts, all named by their What3words geocode with specific pause points on the route that invite you to access digital content using your smartphone.
I was commissioned by Dallas-Pierce-Quintero to photograph a series of launch events for the route, including events as part of Jane’s Walks Colchester and the Essex Book Festival.
Walk With Words encourages you to take part by sharing your own experiences of the city through the Walk With Words website. The evolving collection of local stories, memories and histories encourages mindful observation of place – inviting everyone to pause, listen, watch, read, and reflect.
