Photograph of a garden with large rusty-metal structures surrounding a tree towards the back centre of the frame, with a raised metal walkway leading towards it from the bottom right of frame. Lush green plants and flowers surround these, and in the foreground is a pool of water with stones and blocks of concrete in.

PHOTOGRAPHY FOR THE ENGLISH GARDEN MAGAZINE: RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW 2024

This week it was time for the annual RHS Chelsea Flower Show and it was really lovely to photograph for The English Garden Magazine again. It’s always a day filled with plenty of buzz, discussion of which gardens will win and predictions of what trends will follow it. Oh and lots of wondering whether I recognise that person from real life or TV/Instagram.

As always I’m in awe of what the amazing teams achieve in such small spaces and how they transform them into such established-looking gardens in such a small timeframe. It seems like magic!

There was plenty to inspire, lots of new products to make things easier and more sustainable in the garden and stunning new plants launched for the first time. It’s been lovely taking time to look back through the photographs.

Here are some of my photographs from the day but you can see lots more with plenty of information about the gardens and plants over on The English Garden’s website.
