In the summer I was commissioned by Historic Royal Palaces to document some of the school sessions that run from their sites at The Tower of London, Kensington Palace and Hampton Court Palace.
It was fantastic to follow the sessions and capture the enthusiasm of the performers and the joy of the pupils as they were transported back in time to learn about what life would have been like at these incredible sites. It’s amazing to see how well put together each session is, covering a lot of information whilst keeping everyone enthralled and as always I learnt loads too!
I also visited an outreach session at a school to capture an amazing play ‘Fire‘ about the life of Sophia Duleep Singh, a suffragette and campaigner for women’s rights who we should all know more about, performed by Scary Little Girls.
It was so wonderful to capture these fantastic sessions and to work with the incredible team who make it all happen!
