At the beginning of the summer holidays I was commissioned by Tower Bridge to photograph families taking part in activities in the walkway between the two towers. It was a really fun session, with the families making origami boats to add to a flotilla on the glass floor, and generally capturing the joy (and trepidation!) of families enjoying the Glass Floor and the Bridge itself!
I love being up high and as well as capturing the fun activities it was great to see the incredible views across London and watch the traffic, people and boats passing below the Glass Floor in the walkway, 42 meters above the Thames!
I’d highly recommend visiting Tower Bridge, there’s plenty to see and learn about its history! You can find out more about Tower Bridge and what’s on on their website: www.towerbridge.org.uk and if you’d like to take part in their Family Activities in particular you can find more about them here. Family activities are drop-in and included in the price of admission, meaning you can join them at any time between the advertised times on their website. Just make sure to book your visit on one of the days listed.
I’ve shared a few images below – it was a lovely session and fantastic to work with such a wonderful team, too!
Tower Bridge is open 09:30 – 18:00 daily (last entry is 17:00), closed 24 – 26 December. On the third Saturday of the month, between 10:30 and 11:30, entry to Tower Bridge is reserved for Relaxed Opening attendees.
